Suggested Supplement Support
• Vitamin C – Suggested dose 1,000 milligram capsule every 8 hours, or a level teaspoon of powder dissolved in a pint or so of water, drank all through the day.
• Vitamin D3 - 2,000 International Units daily. (Start with 5,000 IU/day for two weeks, then reduce to 2,000).
• Zinc is a powerful antioxidant and has been shown to be effective in helping the body fight infections. A recommended dose is 20-40 mg/day for adults.
Other Wellness Tips
• Wash your hands with soap and water, often. (20 seconds minimum)
• Avoid touching your face (nose, mouth, eyes especially)
• Get proper rest and SLEEP. Sleep is your ally in rebuilding your immune system, naps are regenerative when feeling under the weather.
• Choose REAL food to nourish yourself. Stay away from lots of caffeine, sugar, dairy, and junk food. Eat fresh vegetables, fruit, home-made broths (bone broths, miso, or mushroom) packed with onions, garlic, horseradish, ginger and turmeric root as well as warming stews and meals with an emphasis on fresh veggies.
• Supplement with herbs, minerals + vitamins for optimum immune function. Immune boosting tea, essential oils or including antiviral and immunity building herbs in your food will help support your body.
Alcohol, smoking, limited rest and ongoing stress also impact the immune system and how efficiently it will react when exposed to germs.
