Jennifer Ribaudo

Clinical Herbalist, Wellness Coach and Herbal Educator

Jennifer is a US Army veteran and spent 30+ years in the Information Technology field fully ingrained in the corporate world. After facing some health challenges, going through her own healing journey, and being left at a crossroads, she left corporate America and chose to pursue her passion for helping people find a more natural way of healing.

A graduate of the Western Herbalism program along with the 100-hour Life Coaching program at the Southwest Institute for Healing Arts she also received hands-on experience from mentorships with leaders in the field of herbalism.

As a Clinical Herbalist, Health Coach, and Herbal Educator, Jennifer helps to guide you through the complexities of modern health challenges using natural solutions instead of pharmaceuticals. Herbs, nutrition, and lifestyle changes are not the instant fix that you are used to. It’s a journey and she is here to take it with you.

Jennifer loves to teach about natural remedies and lifestyle, making herbal medicine at home and taking people on plant walks in the Sonoran Desert. She created Desert Moon Botanicals as a resource for those interested in the craft of herbalism. An online education platform and community where you can learn about and find resources needed to enhance your understanding of herbal medicine. She also creates her own herbal products which you may have seen at Desert Sage Herbs or within the local community.

In her off time, she is likely exploring the natural beauty of Arizona, wildcrafting in the Sonoran Desert or northern regions, traveling the world, and camping with her partner Paul and friends. Her love for our local botanicals fuels her passion for teaching about the amazing medicinal plants native to the Sonoran Desert of the southwest.

As a proud member of the American Herbalists Guild, the American Botanical Council, and United Plant Savers, she is deeply committed to the herbalist community and the promotion of natural health and wellness.

Private Guided Plant Walk & Wild-Harvesting Cost: $150 per person (2 hours) *travel fees not included

Here is your chance to have a personalized tour of the desert flora and fauna. In this experience, we will venture out into the Sonoran Desert or other areas of Arizona, and explore the medicinal and edible plants that make up this great ecosystem. You will learn insights into various plant species, such as identification, habitat, medicinal properties, and ecological importance. We will also discuss sustainable practices, conservation efforts, and the role of plants in the environment. If it is harvesting season, I will guide you in ethically wild-harvesting berries, fruit, and medicinal components of the plants where available.

Walks take place around the Phoenix area, usually during the cooler months of the year depending on what we are looking for. Some wild-harvesting can be done in the summer with appropriate protection and hydration. Botanical excursions to different parts of the state can be discussed and fees will vary.

For beginners to experienced herbalists, this is a great experience for those who want a more personalized experience or need to fulfill an educational requirement.
